Overview

Svare Professional Engineering (SPE) and its predecessors, RTS, Inc. and Prompt Electric, Inc., have been evaluating electrical incidents since 1977.  Master Electrician and registered and licensed Electrical Engineer, Robert (Bob) Svare, has maintained his goal of finding the truth about electricity’s involvement (or lack of) in property damage or personal injury.  SPE uses the concepts and science of electricity, along with the reality of actual experience in electrical work and hands-on testing, to establish the most likely scenario of an incident.  Bob uses this “hands-on” approach to test a hypothesis to separate out what is probable from what is only possible.

Although Bob has progressed through the educational system keeping up with new science and engineering as well as having a background and experience in building construction, maintenance, electrical work, mining, and auto/truck repair, he has maintained his foundation in the real world by staying active in electrical design, installation and maintenance of the electrical power, control systems and equipment that are often cited as the cause of an incident. By combining science and practical experience, Bob is better able to help his clients evaluate a case.

Along with Bob’s practical background, he has been active in teaching the science, skills and techniques of electrical analysis to corporations, attorneys, insurance companies, the fire service, law enforcement, and other entities world-wide.   These teaching activities have been a great aid in preparing Bob, his clients, and others, including juries, to understand the basics of a case through the use of analogies and simple explanations.
